Mouse moves erratically due to dirty mouse.
Cause:
Dirty mouse is causing erratic movement.
Solution:
Unplug mouse, remove and clean mouse ball and rollers, replace mouse ball, and reconnect mouse.
1) Unplug the mouse from the mouse port on the back of the computer.
2) Remove the mouse ball by rotating the retaining ring on the bottom of the mouse in the direction indicated by the arrows on the retaining ring.
3) Use a mouse cleaning kit, clean the mouse ball, and rollers.
4) Replace the mouse ball and retaining ring, twisting the ring in the opposite direction indicated by the arrows on the retaining ring.
5) Plug the mouse into the mouse port in the back of the computer.
6) Make sure the mouse pad is clean.
